The Masked Man, a short documentary film featuring Southwest Virginia photographer Mike Miller and his 2023 one-person exhibit at Create Appalachia’s Kingsport Art and Technology Center was a nominee for Best Short Documentary at the 2024 Southern Oasis Film Festival, Knoxville, Tennessee. The Masked Man was screened during the festival at Southeast Cinemas, Governor’s Crossing 14 on March 23rd & 24th.

The film was written, directed and produced by Stephen Newton and filmed in East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.
